Keynote Address

Euro NCAP and the New Era of Vehicle Safety Assessment
The Keynote Address for the 69th Stapp Car Crash Conference will be given by Dr. Michiel van Ratingen, Secretary General at Euro NCAP.
Pre-Conference Practicum
The Stapp Conference is pleased to announce a special event prior to the conference proper. On Monday, 3 November, The Stapp Association will be hosting a workshop-style practicum. The dialog will focus on Belt Fit for All Occupants.
At this event, you can expect to participate in discussions on:
- Importance of Seatbelts & Crash Statistics (including CIREN)
- Modeling of all Occupants (including shape models)
- Submarining and Belt Routing (including platform geometry)
- Adaptive and Optimal Restraints and Occupant Sensing (including emerging technologies)
- WAYMO Experience (2–5pm)
- Stapp Welcome Reception (5:30–7:30pm)
Engaging subject-matter experts are scheduled to kick off the sessions and lead subsequent group discussions. Lunch will be provided.
This event is free for those attending the general conference. You will be able to indicate your intention to attend during the Stapp registration process.

The Waymo Experience
On Monday, November 3rd, the Stapp Car Crash Conference is pleased to host the Waymo Experience, an opportunity for conference attendees to learn more about Waymo’s self-driving vehicles.
Banquets and Receptions
Conference attendees are invited to join the Stapp Car Crash Association for an all banquets and receptions.
- The University Welcome Reception will be held on Monday, November 3rd, at the Miller-Ward Alumni House.
- The Humanetics Group and Stapp Association Reception will be held on Tuesday, November 4th, at Michael C. Carlos Museum in Ackerman Hall.
- The Kyowa Americas Inc. Banquet will be held on Wednesday, November 5th, at the Claudia Nance Rollins Building, Klamon Room.
